My Vision for the City of Oceanside
January 9, 2019, I was sworn into Oceanside City Council as the newest councilmember.
“A lifelong Oceanside resident, I am proud to serve the city of Oceanside as a councilmember for District 3 and Deputy Mayor. After a career as an Oceanside police officer and law enforcement executive, I was appointed to the City Council in 2019 and elected to my first full term the following year. As a leader of one of the largest cities in the county, I immediately confronted our most pressing issues- the homeless crisis, rising crime rates and our disappearing beaches while also delivering a balanced budget and ensuring our residents get the best value for their tax dollars. We still have much work to do but with the partnership of my fellow councilmembers and our incredible city staff, I am confident we will lead the region with innovative and successful solutions to these issues.”

Strides for the City
“As your Deputy Mayor, I have led efforts that reduced crime, delivered balanced budgets, and increased transparency and trust in our government. Solving citywide problems is complex and requires experience and creativity. Specific policies such as new motel safety ordinance and beach replenishment study will have an immediate impact on our quality of life and I am proud to have brought them forward. If elected Oceanside Mayor in 2024, I will continue to support and advocate policies that address our homeless crisis, protect taxpayer money, preserve Oceanside’s unique character and continue to make Oceanside the most livable beach city in California.”
