"A lifelong Oceanside resident, I am proud to serve the City of Oceanside as a councilmember for District 3 and Deputy Mayor. After a career as an Oceanside police officer and law enforcement executive, I was appointed to the City Council in 2019 and elected to my first full term the following year. As a leader of one of the largest cities in the county, I immediately confronted our most pressing issues- the homeless crisis, rising crime rates, and our disappearing beaches while also delivering a balanced budget and ensuring our residents get the best value for their tax dollars. We still have much work to do but with the partnership of my fellow councilmembers and our incredible city staff, I am confident we will lead the region with innovative and successful solutions to these issues."
